Ingredients

½ cup (125 mL) Rogers Porridge Oats & Ancient Grains
½ cup (125 mL) strawberry kefir
½ cup (125 mL) skim milk (or alternative beverage of your choice)
1 cup (250 mL) frozen berries (blend of strawberries, cherries, blackberries and blueberries)
1 whole banana, sliced
½ cup (125 mL) ice cubes
juice of ½ fresh lime
This simple smoothie recipe is packed with 10 grams of protein and 8 grams of fibre. It will give you the energy you need to start your day or is a great way to refuel after working out. The versatility of Rogers Porridge Oats & Ancient Grains does it again in this delicious smoothie adding nutrition and keeping you fuelled for all your springtime activities!

Instructions

1.In a blender, add Rogers Porridge Oats & Ancient Grains and blend into a fine flour.
2.Transfer flour into a 2 cup (500 mL) wide mouth Mason jar.
3.Add kefir and milk to flour in Mason jar, stir well with a spoon.
4.Refrigerate oat mixture in Mason jar for a minimum of 4 hours or overnight.
5.In a blender, add the frozen berries, banana, ice cubes, lime juice and mix. Add the refrigerated oat mixture and blend well.
6.Serve in 2 glasses (makes two 250 mL servings) and enjoy immediately!
