Stovetop Method (preferred): Stir 1 cup (250 mL) ROGERS STEEL CUT OAT BLEND PORRIDGE OATS and 1⁄4 tsp (1 mL) salt (optional) into 3 cups (750 mL) boiling water. Reduce heat and cook, uncovered, for 15-20 minutes or to desired tenderness. Yield 3 cups.
Microwave Method (for single serving only): In a large microwaveable bowl, combine 1/3 cup (80 mL) ROGERS STEEL CUT OAT BLEND PORRIDGE OATS and 1 cup (250 mL) water. Add salt to taste. Cook on full power for 6–8 minutes, watching closely and stirring every 2 minutes.
