GENERAL PURPOSE:

The Warehouseman I (Bulk Loader) will have a thorough understanding of all aspects of the loading pneumatic flour and feed trailers and will perform these duties in a manner that meets the demands of our customers and abides by the policies and procedures set from time to time by the company and government regulators.  In this capacity, the Warehouseman I (Bulk Loader) may, under direction of the Transportation Coordinator / Bulk Supervisor, be required to give instructions to Warehouseman II and/or General Labourer staff working within the warehouse bulk load out area

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Grade 12 graduate or equivalent
  • Thorough knowledge of legal loading procedures for all shipping units.
  • Completion of Company provided Shunt Truck training.
  • Lift truck/Forklift license.
  • Excellent computer skills and experience with D365 an asset.
  • Available for shift work, overtime work on weekend, holidays and call outs as required.
Responsibilities

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Communicates with customers, carriers, and other departments in a courteous and diplomatic manner, always showing a high standard of cooperation and excellence to reflect well on Rogers Foods Ltd.
  • Maintains the warehouse in an orderly, organized manner using a first-in, first-out method of stock control.
  • Receives stock into the warehouse bulk load out area from:
  • Flour and Cereal packing lines
  • Outside carriers and Company trucks
  • Maintains necessary stock control records:
  • Bulk loading shipping, receiving and rerun documents.
  • Loads all bulk feed and pneumatic flour trailers in an accurate and efficient manner.
  • Operates all company vehicles and lift trucks as authorized in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Secures and locks all power equipment and loaded trailers when parked in the company yard.
  • Identifies new ways to improve the efficiency and safety of the overall bulk loading area.
  • Must be aware of critical control points as they relate to product liability.
  • Responsible for compliance with Canada Labour Occupational Health and Safety requirements and company safety standards.
  • Follows all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s) while performing job duties and tasks.
  • Performs other tasks, including training, as required.
