Ingredients

1 3/4 cups Rogers Foods Whole Wheat Flour
1/2 cup Rogers Foods Large Flake Oats
1/4 cup ground flaxseed
1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
1 tbsp honey
1 cup mashed bananas (approx. 2 small bananas)
1 large egg
Beaten egg for glaze (optional)

NOTE: 1. Let treats cool completely before freezing. 2. Store in an airtight freezer bag or container in the fridge for up to 1 week. Or store in the freezer. 3. Separate layers with parchment paper so they don’t stick together and place in an airtight container. If you have a FoodSaver machine, gently remove air from the bags and freeze. 4. Take out the number of treats you need and let them thaw at room temperature for 10–15 minutes before giving to your dog. 5. IMPORTANT: Always introduce new treats gradually and check with your veterinarian if your dog has allergies, sensitivities, or special dietary needs.

Instructions

1.Preheat oven to 325°F. Line a cookie sheet with parchment or a silicone baking mat.
2.Put egg, peanut butter, honey, and mashed banana into a bowl and mix well.
3.In a second bowl, mix together flour, oats and ground flaxseed.
4.Add liquid ingredients to the dry ingredients. Mix well. Let rest for 5 minutes.
5.Use your hands to form the dough into a ball. If too sticky, add a little more flour.
6.Turn out the dough onto a floured work surface.
7.Use a floured rolling pin to roll the dough out to 1/2-inch thickness.
8.Use a cookie cutter or cut into desired shapes.
9.If using glaze, beat one egg and brush over treats.
10.Bake at 325°F for approximately 30 minutes, or longer for crunchier treats.
11.Remove from oven and allow to cool completely on a baking rack.
