Microwave method: Combine 1/3 cup (80 mL) ROGERS LARGE FLAKE OATS in a microwave safe bowl with 2/3 (160 mL) cup of water and salt to taste. Microwave on high 2-3 minutes.
ROGERS LARGE FLAKE OATS are rolled oats flattened between rollers to produce flakes that are thick enough to hold their shape during cooking and produce chewy oat cereal.
Shelf Life: 8 months. To maintain freshness, transfer to a sealed container and store in the fridge.
Allergy precaution: May contain gluten.
EATING RAW OATS AND GRAINS
There is an ongoing debate on whether it is safe or not to eat raw oats and grains. The logic on our packaging and in the FAQ is that eating raw grains and oats could pose a risk, especially to those with underlying health issues or compromised immune systems.
