FAQ

Is it safe to eat oats, oat bran, or wheat bran raw?

These products are not intended to be eaten raw. While some people choose alternative preparation methods, Rogers Foods does not consider oats, oat bran, wheat bran, or wheat germ to be ready-to-eat without cooking or another heat treatment. For the best food safety, follow the preparation instructions on the package.

FAQ

Why do Rogers Foods packages say “Do Not Eat Raw”?

The package warning is there to remind customers that these products should not be consumed directly from the bag without proper cooking or preparation. Like flour and other grain products, oats and bran may be exposed to natural contaminants during growing, harvesting, transport, or storage. Cooking, baking, or toasting helps reduce food safety risks.

FAQ

I eat ROGERS Porridge Oats daily; where can I buy larger bags?

Porridge Oats are only packaged in retail-size bags, but you could ask your store manager if you can purchase them by the case.  There are eight packages in a case of Porridge Oats.  If stocking up, be sure to store extras in the freezer to maintain freshness and extend the shelf life.
