Ingredients

3/4 cup softened butter (177mL)
1 cup sugar (236mL)
1/4 cup brown sugar (59mL)
2 eggs
2 tsp vanilla (12mL)
1 cup ROGERS ALL-PURPOSE FLOUR (236mL)
1/2 cup + 2 Tbsp cocoa powder (148mL)
1/2 tsp salt (3mL)
1/4 tsp baking powder (1.5mL)
1/4 tsp baking soda (1.5mL)
2 tsp cinnamon (12mL)
Pinch of cloves
1/2 cup + 2 Tbsp buttermilk (148mL)

Crust Topping

2 Tbsp sugar (30mL)
1 Tbsp coconut sugar (15mL)
1/4 tsp cinnamon (1.5mL)
1/4 tsp cocoa (1.5mL)
Pinch of cloves
It's hard not to nibble on this chocolate loaf as you walk past it all day. Give it a try and see for yourself!

Instructions

1.Preheat over to 350F
2.Cream together the butter, sugar and brown sugar.
3.Add in the eggs and vanilla and mix well.
4.Combine the dry ingredients together in separate bowl and alternate adding dry ingredients to the batter with buttermilk.
5.Pour batter into a loaf pan
6.Prepare the crust and sprinkle evenly over the batter
7.Bake at 350F for 50-60 minutes
