4 Earl Grey tea bags (or 2 tbsp loose-leaf tea) | |
1 ½ cups (190 g) ROGERS FOODS ALL PURPOSE FLOUR | |
1 tsp baking powder | |
½ tsp baking soda | |
¼ tsp salt | |
½ cup (115 g) unsalted butter, softened | |
¾ cup (150 g) granulated sugar | |

For the Honey Glaze: | |
1 cup (120 g) powdered sugar | |
2–3 tbsp honey | |
1–2 tbsp warm milk or tea (for thinning) |

1. | Infuse the Milk: Bring milk to a gentle simmer. Add Earl Grey tea bags and steep for 10 minutes. Squeeze out the tea bags and let the milk cool to room temperature. |
2. | Preheat & Prep: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×5-inch loaf pan or line with parchment paper. |
3. | Mix Dry Ingredients: Whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a bowl. Set aside. |
4. | Cream Butter & Sugar: In a large bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy (about 2–3 minutes). |
5. | Add Eggs & Vanilla: Beat in eggs one at a time, then add vanilla extract. |
6. | Combine: Add the flour mixture in 3 parts, alternating with the cooled tea-infused milk. Begin and end with flour. Do not over-mix. |
7. | Bake: Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top. Bake for 45–50 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean. Cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack. |
8. | Make the Glaze: Whisk powdered sugar, honey, and milk/tea until smooth and pourable. Drizzle over cooled cake. |
