Instructions

1.Preheat your oven and prepare the pan:
2.Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8x8-inch baking pan with parchment paper, leaving enough overhang on the sides for easy removal later.

5.In a medium bowl, whisk together 1 cup flour, 1/4 cup granulated sugar, and 1/4 teaspoon salt. Add the cold, cubed butter and use a pastry cutter, fork, or your hands to work the butter into the flour mixture until it resembles coarse crumbs.
6.Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of the prepared pan. Bake for 18-20 minutes, or until lightly golden.
