
| 1/4 cup butter | |
| 1/3 cup peanut butter | |
| 1/2 cup brown sugar | |
| 1/2 tsp. salt | |
| 1/2 cup corn syrup | |
| 1 tsp. vanilla | |
| 3 cups ROGERS 5 GRAIN GRANOLA (any flavour) | |
| 1 cup sliced almonds | |
| 1/2 cup dried cranberries | |
| 3/4 cup chocolate chips |
Loaded with cereal, nuts and fruit, these chewy bars are great portable snacks.
| 1. | Preheat oven to 325°F (160°C). |
| 2. | In a large saucepan, melt butter. Add peanut butter, brown sugar, salt and corn syrup and stir until smooth. |
| 3. | Remove from heat and add vanilla, Rogers 5 Grain Granola, almonds and cranberries and stir until well coated. Pack into greased 9″ (2L) square cake pan and bake for 15 – 20 minutes. |
| 4. | Do not overbake. |
| 5. | Remove from oven and immediately sprinkle with chocolate chips. When melted, spread chocolate evenly over the top. Cut into bars while slightly warm. |
