
| 1 cup ROGERS OAT BRAN | |
| 1 cup buttermilk* | |
| 1/3 cup vegetable oil | |
| 1 egg | |
| 1/2 tsp. vanilla | |
| 1 cup ROGERS DARK RYE FLOUR | |
| 2/3 cup sugar | |
| 1/4 cup cocoa | |
| 1 tsp. baking soda | |
| 1 tsp. baking powder | |
| 1/2 tsp. salt | |
| 1/2 cup chocolate chips | |
Chocolate with the added goodness of oat bran.
| 1. | Preheat oven to 375ºF (190ºC). Prepare 9″ x 5″ loaf pan. |
| 2. | Mix together oat bran and buttermilk, let stand. |
| 3. | Combine vegetable oil, egg and vanilla and add to bran mixture. |
| 4. | Combine flour, sugar, cocoa, baking soda, baking powder & salt. |
| 5. | Add dry ingredients to bran mixture and stir just until blended. Add chocolate chips. |
| 6. | Pour into loaf pan and bake 50-60 minutes or until cake tester inserted comes out clean. |
