2 cups ROGERS LARGE FLAKE OATS | |
1/2 cup brown sugar | |
1/4 cup skim milk powder | |
1/2 cup vegetable oil | |
1/2 tsp. salt | |
1/2 tsp. vanilla | |
1/2 cup coconut | |
1/2 cup walnuts, chopped | |
1 egg | |
2 tbsp. cold water | |
1/2 cup glazed cherries, chopped |
A good cookie for a wheat free diet.
1. | Preheat oven to 350ºF (175ºC). |
2. | In a large bowl combine oat flakes, brown sugar, skim milk powder, vegetable oil, salt, vanilla, coconut and chopped walnuts. |
3. | In a small bowl, beat together egg and cold water. Add to oat flake mixture and stir well. Add cherries. |
4. | Drop by spoonfuls onto baking sheets. |
5. | Bake 10-12 minutes until golden brown. Let stand on baking sheets 5 minutes before removing to cooling rack |
