Ingredients

2 1/4 cups ROGERS ALL-PURPOSE FLOUR (534mL)
2 tsp ground ginger (12mL)
1 tsp baking soda (6mL)
3/4 tsp cinnamon (4.5mL)
1/2 tsp ground cloves (3mL)
1/4 tsp salt (59mL)
3/4 cup room temperature butter (177mL)
1 cup white sugar (plus some extra for rolling dough in) (236mL)
1 egg
1 tbsp water (15mL)
1/4 cup molasses (59mL)

Instructions

1.Combine all dry ingredients and set aside.
2.Cream butter and sugar.
3.Mix in egg, water, and molasses.
4.Mix in dry with wet.
5.With your hands roll 2 inch balls of dough and roll in sugar covering all sides.
6.Bake for 8-10 minutes.
7.Combine all ingredients for the icing while you wait.
8.Once cooled, pipe on the butter frosting and enjoy!
