1 cup (250 mL) butter, softened | |
¾ cup (180 mL) brown sugar, packed | |
½ cup (125 mL) granulated sugar | |
1 egg | |
2 tsp. (10 mL) vanilla extract | |
2 cups (500 mL) ROGERS NO ADDITIVE or ALL PURPOSE FLOUR | |
1 tsp. (5 mL) baking soda | |
½ tsp. (2 mL) salt | |
2 cups (500 mL) semi-sweet chocolate chips or chunks |
Crispy edges, chewy middles; these may be your all-time favourite chocolate chip cookies!
1. | Preheat oven to 375ºF (190ºC). |
2. | In the large bowl of a standing mixer, beat together butter, sugars, egg and vanilla extract until mixture is light and fluffy, about 4 minutes. Add flour, baking soda and salt, beating to combine. Stir in chocolate chips. |
3. | Drop dough by heaping tablespoonfuls onto ungreased (or parchment-lined) baking sheets. Bake in centre of oven for 8-10 minutes. If baking more than one sheet at a time, rotate halfway through cooking. Cool on wire racks. |
