1 1/2 cups ROGERS NO ADDITIVE or ALL PURPOSE FLOUR 375 mL | |
1 1/2 cups ROGERS PORRIDGE OATS & ANCIENT GRAINS 375 mL | |
1/2 tsp. salt 2 mL | |
1 tsp. baking soda 5 mL | |
1 cup coconut 250 mL |
These simple cookies have a delicious surprise in each bite.
1. | Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). |
2. | Cream butter, sugars, egg and vanilla. |
3. | In a separate bowl combine flour, ancient grains cereal, salt, baking soda and coconut. |
4. | Add the dry ingredients and mix well. |
5. | Chill about ½ hour. It is important to chill batter so cookies don’t spread. Roll into 1” balls. Make an indent with thumb and add a scant amount of jam of your choice (1/4 tsp.) to the indent. |
