
| 2 cups Rogers all-purpose flour | |
| 1 ½ cups granulated sugar | |
| 1 cup cocoa powder | |
| 2 tsp. baking powder | |
| 1 ½ tsp. baking soda | |
| 1 ½ tsp. fine sea salt | |
| 2 cups buttermilk, hot | |
| 1 cup all-vegetable oil | |
| 1 tsp. vanilla extract |

| 1. | Preheat the oven to 350 degrees and prepare three 6 inch round cake pans with baking spray. |
| 2. | In a large mixing bowl whisk together the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. |
| 3. | Add in the buttermilk, oil, and vanilla extract and whisk together until fully combined. |
| 4. | Divide the batter evenly into the cake pans and bake for 25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the middle comes out with a few moist crumbs. |
| 5. | Allow the cake pans to cool for 10 minutes and then invert on a cooling rack to fully cool. |
