
| 3/4 cup softened butter (177mL) | |
| 1 cup sugar (236mL) | |
| 1/4 cup brown sugar (59mL) | |

| 2 tsp vanilla (12mL) | |
| 1 cup ROGERS ALL-PURPOSE FLOUR (236mL) | |
| 1/2 cup + 2 Tbsp cocoa powder (148mL) | |
| 1/2 tsp salt (3mL) | |
| 1/4 tsp baking powder (1.5mL) | |
| 1/4 tsp baking soda (1.5mL) | |
| 2 tsp cinnamon (12mL) | |
| Pinch of cloves | |
| 1/2 cup + 2 Tbsp buttermilk (148mL) | 
It's hard not to nibble on this chocolate loaf as you walk past it all day. Give it a try and see for yourself!
| 1. | Preheat over to 350F | 
| 2. | Cream together the butter, sugar and brown sugar. | 
| 3. | Add in the eggs and vanilla and mix well. | 
| 4. | Combine the dry ingredients together in separate bowl and alternate adding dry ingredients to the batter with buttermilk. | 
| 5. | Pour batter into a loaf pan | 
| 6. | Prepare the crust and sprinkle evenly over the batter | 
| 7. | Bake at 350F for 50-60 minutes |
