Ingredients

3/4 cup sugar 180mL
3/4 cup brown sugar 180mL
1 cup butter 250mL
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla 5mL
1 1/2 cup ROGERS No Additive or All Purpose Flour 375mL
1 tsp. baking soda 5mL
2 1/2 cups ROGERS Porridge Oats & Healthy Grains 625mL
2 cups dark chocolate chips 500mL
1/2 cup butter 125mL
Porridge Oats + Healthy Grains are used to make this hybrid treat. Make a batch ahead of time and freeze for a rainy day... you may need it.

Instructions

1.Preheat oven to 350°F. Line 10 x 16” cookie sheet with parchment paper.
2.Cream sugar and butter until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time and beat until fully incorporated. Add vanilla and mix.
3.In a separate bowl mix dry ingredients. Add to butter mixture and mix until combined.
4.Spread 75% of the cookie dough on cookie sheet. Set aside.
5.Melt butter in a pot until bubbling and remove from heat. Add chocolate and stir gently until melted.
6.Pour the chocolate over the dough and spread evenly.

Flatten remaining dough into various shapes and randomly place on top of chocolate layer.
8.Bake in oven for 17-20 minutes, until just brown
9.Let cool and set in fridge for an hour for easy cutting.
10.This bar freezes well.
