| 1 1/4 cups ROGERS OAT BRAN, 310 mL | |
| 1 1/4 cups buttermilk*, 310 mL - • You may substitute buttermilk with sour milk. 1 ½ tbsp. lemon or vinegar topped up with milk to 1 1/3 cups. | |
| 1 cup apple grated, & firmly packed | |
| 1/3 cup oil, 80 mL | |
| 1 egg, 1 | |
| 2/3 cup brown sugar, 160 mL | |
| 1 1/4 cup ROGERS NO ADDITIVE or ALL PURPOSE Flour 310 mL | |
| 1 tsp. baking soda, 5 mL | |
| 1 tsp. baking powder 5 mL | |
| 1/2 tsp. salt, 2 mL | |
| 1 tsp. cinnamon, 5 mL | |
| 1/2 tsp. cloves, 2 mL |

| 1. | Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) |
| 2. | Mix together oat bran, buttermilk and apple, let stand about 10 minutes. |
| 3. | Cream together egg, oil and sugar. Add to buttermilk – bran mix. |
| 4. | In separate bowl combine all the dry ingredients. |
| 5. | Add dry ingredients to the bran mixture and stir until just blended. |
| 6. | Spoon into prepared muffin tins. Bake for 15 – 20 minutes. Until tested done. |
| 7. | Fill muffin tins to the top, these are large muffins. |
