| 1 cup ROGERS Porridges Oats & Healthy Grains, 250 mL | |
| 1 cup boiling water, 250 mL | |
| 1/2 cup margarine, 125 mL | |
| 1/2 cup sugar, 125 mL | |
| 3/4 cup brown sugar, 180 mL | |
| 2 eggs, 2 | |
| 1 cup apple, grated | |
| 3/4 cup ROGERS No Additive or All Purpose Flour, 180 mL | |
| 3/4 cup ROGERS100% Whole Grain Whole Wheat Flour, 180 mL | |
| 1 tsp. baking soda, 5 mL | |
| 1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon, 7 mL | |
| 1/4 tsp. cloves, 1 mL | |
| 1/2 tsp. salt, 2 mL |

| 1. | Preheat oven to 350 F (180 C). Prepare 9” x 9” cake pan. | 
| 2. | Combine Porridge Oats and boiling water: allow to cool. | 
| 3. | Cream together butter, sugars and eggs. Stir in apple. | 
| 4. | Combine these first 2 mixes. | 
| 5. | Combine all dry ingredients and stir into the wet mixture. | 
| 6. | Pour into cake pan and bake 45 to 50 minutes. |
